In recognition of Veteran's Day

In the 11th hour, on the 11th day, in the 11th month in 1918, there was an armistice – temporary cessation between the Allied Nations and Germany during World War I. The following year, on that same day, Armistice Day was recognized. In 1926 it was declared that this would be a recurring anniversary to be commemorated every year. It was made a legal federal holiday in 1938. And in 1954, President Eisenhower signed the bill to change it from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.

For all veterans; from every branch, of all wars, throughout the years. Thank you for your dedication to ensuring our freedom. And for that, all of us here at Wolverine Machine, salute you.

Wolverine Machine is now a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business

Wolverine Machine is now a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)

A veteran of World War I, Charles O’Neill, opened the doors to Wolverine Machine Products Company in Holly, MI in May of 1923. Nearly 90 years later; Wolverine Machine once again lies in the hands of a veteran. Vietnam veteran Bruce Walker, CEO, and 3rd generation, has now registered Wolverine Machine Products Company as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

Throughout the years, Wolverine Machine has been widely known as a sought after manufacturer of precision machine parts and CNC machine parts for the Automotive Industry. As times change and the company has grown, those same qualities have now expanded into several other industries including: Nuclear, Architectural, Agricultural, Military, Marine, Healthcare and Recreational. And now, looking to the future, Wolverine Machine Products Company is hoping to expand even further by teaming with Tier One companies as a subcontracting SDVOSB business.

With a proven ability to change and adapt to the job, Wolverine Machine is not afraid of new challenges. Figuring out a new process or tooling, to the need for a new machine, from drawing and design to finished product, our willingness to adapt has brought us projects such as an architectural wind veil system, flooring for several area hospitals, and water jet cutting steel plates weighing 45,000 lbs. for a nuclear facility. All the while still standing true to what got us here today and that is making quality parts for the automotive industry, whether they are screw machine parts, CNC milled, CNC turned or water jet cut parts.

Made in the USA.     Made in Michigan.    Family owned for nearly 90 years.  Quality and commitment to our customers and their products.

Team up with Wolverine Machine Products Company today. Be a part of a strong and respected company, with a history nearly a century long and with a future that has no boundaries. Come and visit our facility and meet our team, or have us come to you. Let’s take a look at your ideas, your projects, and see what we can do together.

Customer Testimonial - RnD Engineering

"Wolverine Machine's water-jet cutting service has helped RnD Engineering build its machine on time and meet its customer demands.
RnD Engineering is, a minority owned, Livonia, Michigan based, machine builder that specializes in building polishing and deburring machines for the auto industry.
Wolverine Machine has been able to deliver, to various details, plate cut to print and on time. Parts made by Wolverine's water jet are used predominantly in the "Arm" and tooling assembly (see pictures). Other parts are used to create weldments and support structure. Wolverine's capacity to respond quickly, as well as the open, simple, and direct communication has led to a partnership that benefits both companies."

Wolverine Machine Employees attend Training Course

Wolverine Machine sent 2 employees to the Jet Edge Water jet Maintenance Training course in Minnesota last week. One employee works in our Quality department and the other is a water jet operator. The 3-day course was to educate them in the daily and routine maintenance, repair and troubleshooting they will have in the operation of the water jet machine.

Wolverine Machine has always stayed on top of what the industries and companies need in terms of processes and equipment and we feel it's just as important that our employees stay educated on all the functions of those processes and equipment.

IMTS - Chicago, IL 2012

Our CEO/VP Bruce Walker, Special Projects Manager Blaine Walker and Manager of Operations Jeff Wilson attended the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago this past week. The show had nearly 2000 vendors and a record-setting 100,000 visitors over the course of the entire week. Their mission: looking to add a large bridge mill to our list of capabilities. They visited several booths, met with many companies, some new, some old and are working to narrow it down. We will keep you posted on the progress of this new venture.

Customer Testimonial - Fabri-tech Sheet Metal

"In 2010, I was in search of a company that could assist us in an unusual art project that our company was looking at. I searched locally and the Internet, sent out numerous requests for several weeks looking for a machine company that could fabricate the custom pieces that we were looking for, until I was contacted by Ken Walker of Wolverine Machine. Since our first discussions, Mr. Walker seemed intrigued by the project that we were trying to put together. We worked together for over 1 year trying several different prototypes of the parts until we had a final assembly that was approved by both the owner and the artist. Throughout the years that we worked together, they were some of the most cooperative and patient people that I have had the pleasure to work with and they have never missed a deadline, no matter how unrealistic that it was. Now in July 2012, we have the project over 2/3 completed and are now looking at the finish line. The project is a 25,000 square foot Ned Kahn Wind Veil feature in Clayton, Missouri and when finished will have over 80,000 flag assemblies. It has been a pleasure working with Wolverine and I look forward to working with them in the future."

Providing Products to North America via The U.S.A.

Rumor has it that many products, once deemed more economical to produce in China, may be making their way back to American made. Rising costs to manufacture and ship from China will allow companies to save costs by building factories and employing workers right here in America. This does not mean that China is out of the game. But what it does mean is that with the American economy still on a rebound, this helps give it that little extra nudge.

What are your thoughts?
