Lake Fenton Robotics Team visits Wolverine Machine
Wolverine Machine welcomed 9
students and 2 teachers from the Lake Fenton Robotics Team on Dec. 19, 2012. The main goal was
to spark the interest in the students of the opportunities available in
manufacturing and engineering in an industrial setting. Many of these skilled
trades have been absent from high schools and colleges over the past several
years. This has caused a shortage of qualified individuals to fill positions in
CNC operations that are available all over the United States.
The students were shown programming
using the IGEMS software and saw up close our water jet machine in action. They
looked on as our quality manager and technician showcased the Zeiss Contura G2
and how it checks all points of a part for the correct measurements. They
watched demonstrations of how light curtains and bump switches work, the Kiwa
510 Vertical machining center and Miyano LZ auto load lathe. Lastly they
stopped off at the Acme Gridley screw machines, which is where Wolverine
Machine got its start.
Manufacturing is alive and well,
especially in the State of Michigan and we are looking at the next generation
to keep it going. It is still a vital part in which we live but could quickly
disappear unless we educate and inspire.

Christmas Greetings from Wolverine Machine Products

In recognition of Veteran's Day
In the 11th hour, on the 11th
day, in the 11th month in 1918, there was an armistice – temporary
cessation between the Allied Nations and Germany during World War I. The
following year, on that same day, Armistice Day was recognized. In 1926 it was
declared that this would be a recurring anniversary to be commemorated every
year. It was made a legal federal holiday in 1938. And in 1954, President
Eisenhower signed the bill to change it from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.
For all veterans; from every branch, of
all wars, throughout the years. Thank you for your dedication to ensuring our
freedom. And for that, all of us here at Wolverine Machine, salute you.

Wolverine Machine is now a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business
Wolverine Machine is now a Service Disabled Veteran
Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)
A veteran of World War I, Charles O’Neill,
opened the doors to Wolverine Machine Products Company in Holly, MI in May of
1923. Nearly 90 years later; Wolverine Machine once again lies in the hands of
a veteran. Vietnam veteran Bruce Walker, CEO, and 3rd generation,
has now registered Wolverine Machine Products Company as a Service Disabled
Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
Throughout the years, Wolverine Machine has
been widely known as a sought after manufacturer of precision machine parts and
CNC machine parts for the Automotive Industry. As times change and the company
has grown, those same qualities have now expanded into several other industries
including: Nuclear, Architectural, Agricultural, Military, Marine, Healthcare
and Recreational. And now, looking to the future, Wolverine Machine Products
Company is hoping to expand even further by teaming with Tier One companies as
a subcontracting SDVOSB business.
With a proven ability to change and adapt to
the job, Wolverine Machine is not afraid of new challenges. Figuring out a new
process or tooling, to the need for a new machine, from drawing and design to
finished product, our willingness to adapt has brought us projects such as an
architectural wind veil system, flooring for several area hospitals, and water
jet cutting steel plates weighing 45,000 lbs. for a nuclear facility. All the
while still standing true to what got us here today and that is making quality
parts for the automotive industry, whether they are screw machine parts, CNC milled,
CNC turned or water jet cut parts.
Made in the USA. Made in Michigan. Family owned for nearly 90 years. Quality and commitment to our customers and
their products.
Team up with Wolverine Machine Products
Company today. Be a part of a strong and respected company, with a history nearly
a century long and with a future that has no boundaries. Come and visit our
facility and meet our team, or have us come to you. Let’s take a look at your ideas,
your projects, and see what we can do together.
